Do you need to replace a missing tooth?

Are you looking for an alternative to loose and painful dentures?

Do you know that dentures only have 5-20% of the biting force of natural teeth. Compared to this implant allows to chew food well like the natural teeth.

Opt for a long lasting solution and ask about dental implants to reclaim your smile.

Why Dental Implant?

People who have lost teeth might feel too self-conscious to smile or talk. Additionally, biting irregularities caused by tooth loss can have a negative effect on eating habits, leading to secondary health problems like malnutrition. Patients are learning there is a better alternative to living their lives wearing dentures; that alternative is Dental Implants.

Dental Implants are placed directly into the jawbone as a substitute for a natural root but even stronger offering a permanent fixed-tooth replacement upon which Crowns and Bridges may be fitted. Made of Titanium, a stable, totally resistant metal that is biocompatible and well tolerated by the human body, Dental Implants are now a well-established, tried-and-tested treatment and will greatly improve your quality of life.

Not only the appearance, but also the safe, solid feeling of natural teeth is restored allowing you to eat whatever you want without pain or problems. By replacing missing tooth roots, dental implants provide people with the strength and stability required to eat all the foods they love, without struggling to chew. Additionally, dental implants stimulate and maintain jaw bone, preventing bone loss and helping to maintain facial features.

What is a Dental Implant?

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots used to support a restoration for a missing tooth or teeth, helping to stop or prevent jaw bone loss.

Made from titanium, this screw-like object is inserted under the gum and directly into the upper or lower jaw bone. There is usually minimal discomfort involved with this procedure. After a period of a few months, the Dental Implant and the bone fuse together.
This creates an anchor for the new tooth to be placed onto the dental implant.

Bridges

A bridge is a structure designed to replace one or more missing teeth. It relies on constructing crowns on the teeth located on either side of the missing teeth and joining them together with a span designed to resemble the missing teeth. It is cemented and not removable.

If you are missing teeth or need teeth extracted, we will discuss the best possible solution for its replacement. Implants will be suitable for most patients that have a healthy mouth and body. For some of the patients this may not be possible either due to their medical history, bone loss or other conditions. A bridge will be a more suitable solution to replace the missing tooth.

Inlay & Onlay

Most people believe that when their dentist finds a cavity, their only option is a standard dental filling. An inlay or onlay covers part or whole of the chewing surface of the tooth therefore strengthening the tooth.

Both inlays and onlays are intended to repair the tooth’s chewing surface, they are bonded to the surface of damaged teeth and matched to the color of the surrounding teeth. As they are custom made for each patient, most last longer than traditional fillings.

Dentures

Some patients may choose to restore their missing teeth with dentures. Dentures are removable false teeth.

It is very important to replace missing teeth for several reasons such as appearance, chewing ability and support of remaining teeth. Without complete dentition you may not be able to chew your food properly and could develop digestive and malnutrition problems.

We make many different types of dentures depending on your budget and what suits you best. There are acrylic dentures, dentures with a metal framework, flexible dentures, and dentures attached to dental implants.

If you want to look more natural and chew better, bridges and dental implants are better choice.

Are you due for your dental check-ups?

We recommend that patients visit us twice a year for dental cleanings and exams in u dental. Regular checkups will help you maintain attractive and healthy smile and help you avoid more complicated and expensive dental procedures.

Signs of gum disease, such as bleeding and bad breath, caught and treated early can prevent future pain and loss of teeth. Similarly, cavities caught and treated early can prevent future pain, need of root canal treatment or extractions.

During the check-up, we will check the surfaces on your teeth. You will receive a thorough teeth cleaning to remove plaque and hard tartar, including those hard-to-reach areas you might miss with your toothbrush. We also recommend taking digital dental X-rays to check for tooth decay or the presence of gum disease.

No matter how thorough you are during your daily routine teeth cleaning at home, harmful bacteria grow in your mouth that can only be removed by a professional teeth cleaning. These bacteria can cause gum disease, tooth decay and bad breath. The bacteria that cause gum disease are the same as those linked to heart disease and other illnesses.

We use state-of-the-art ultrasonic scalers and flavoured prophylaxis paste to ensure that the cleaning procedure is gentle.
